Aminu Masari Re-Elected As Katsina Governor

Katsina state governor, Aminu Masari has been declared winner of the Saturday’s governorship election.

The incumbent Governor defeated his closest rival of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Yakubu Lado with a wide margin of 690,243 votes to emerge winner.

While Masari polled a total of 1, 178, 864 votes Ladol polled a total of 488, 621 votes.

According to Prof. Zuru, the state had a total of 3.2 million registered voters, 1,173,780 accredited voters while 1,720,638 votes were cast and 37,593 votes were rejected.

Meanwhile, the PDP state chairman, Salisu Majigiri, alleged that the results declared by the INEC did not tally with the low turnout of voters and the results in custody of their agents.
