Lai Mohammed’s Driver Denies Defecting To PDP

Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed’s official driver has denied reports making the rounds that he defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and abandoned his principal.

Aliyu Omeiza had been rumored on Wednesday to have caught the defection fever currently gripping the ruling APC.

The reports had suggested that Omeiza abandoned Mr Mohammed on the road yesterday as he purportedly joined the main opposition party.

But addressing the rumors, the Minister’s driver told reporters in Abuja that “It is a lie, Nothing like that happened. I drove my Oga to the Villa in the morning where he attended the Federal Executive Council meeting.

“We also went to some other places with all the security details before I closed for work.

“I am not a politician, I do not belong to any political party, not to talk of decamping.

“This is an example of fake news that Oga has been talking about,” he said.
