The disclosure followed a video online which showed male and female students harshly beaten by four teachers of an Arabic school in the state – Madrasah.

According to the government, the head of the Arabic school admitted to have directed the punishment because they allegedly violated the school’s rules.

Reports say the affected students were flogged for allegedly attending a birthday party.

The school’s head has been told to step aside for investigation to take its course.
