Militants Attack Ikorodu, Kills Eight

Gunmen suspected to be militants, on Thursday, allegedly invaded Igbolomu and Ishawo areas in Ikorodu Local Government Area of Lagos State, killing eight residents.An eyewitness who escaped from one of the invaded areas said the gunmen from the Niger Delta came through water channel and started shooting sporadically.
“I have seen four corpses. The militants have declared a war on us,” a resident, Giwa Bola, said.
