My Father May Die Any Moment, Says El-Zakzaky’s Daughter

The leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, may die soon, says his daughter Suhaila.

Suhaila, while speaking in an interview with the BBC disclosed that her father is suffering from lead poisoning and deserves proper medical attention to his death.

 “I am really worried… especially because of the lead and cadmium poisoning.

“His doctors say if he gets to a certain level his organs could start failing and that’s really scary because that means he could just die at any moment.” she said

According to her, the cleric is unhappy with the heavy presence of security operatives at the Medanta Hospital, New Delhi, where he is currently undergoing treatment.

El-Zakzaky and his wife had departed Nigeria for India to get medical attention.

But speaking from India on Wednesday, the IMN leader alleged that he is in a worse situation in the country, comparing Nigeria’s Kirikiri Maximum Prison as being better than the Indian hospital he was taken to.
