NCDC Recommends Use Of Facemask For Elderly

The Nigerian Centre For Disease Control has advised elderly Nigerians with pre-existing medical conditions to use facial mask.

The NCDC made this recommendation in a tweet on Saturday.

The centre however warned that face masks alone was not enough as a protective apparel for the coronavirus.

The NCDC said “We must continue to observe social distancing and avoid mass gatherings.”

At the time of filling this report, the total number of coronavirus cases in the country stood at 493, 159 cases were discharged while 17 deaths were recorded.
