NCDC Working To Provide Testing Lab In Every State–Ihekweazu

The Nigeria Centre For Disease Control(NCDC) has said it is working with the private sector to ensure that every state in the country is able to test its samples for Covid-19.

The Director General, Chikwe Ihekweazu said this on Thursday during the presidential task force briefing.

He said the centre was working hard with the private sector to include it in covid-19 testing plans.

“Everything about this disease is to gain insight into it by conducting tests. We are working hard to ensure testing is available to every state. ”

Currently the centre has activated 58 laboratories for testing coronavirus samples in 30 states in the country.

According to the NCDC reports, Yobe, Gombe, kebbi, Taraba, Zamfara and Niger are the only states yet to have any testing centre.
