The NEC comprises state governors and relevant ministries of government and the Central Bank of Nigeria.

Briefing state house correspondents after the meeting, Dave Umahi, Ebonyi State governor, said the five selected states are expected to make land available for ranches.

He explained that with ranching, would improve the well-being of the cattles as well, give herdsmen and their families access to good schools and medical facilities.
