Nigeria Deepens Strategic Partnerships With JICA To Boost Growth

Nigeria has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening international economic partnerships through a high-level bilateral meeting with representatives of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA)

The meeting was held on Wednesday on the sidelines of the ongoing World Bank group and IMF annual meeting in Washington, D.C. with the minister of finance Dr Doris Uzoka-Anita and other members of Nigerian delegation

Discussions focused on identifying new avenues to attract increased Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and advancing existing pipeline projects.

The federal government in a statement by the ministry of finance emphasized its dedication to building on global partnerships to accelerate economic growth and sustainable development

JICA and MIGA reaffirmed their strong support for Nigeria’s development priorities and expressed readiness to collaborate more closely in key sectors of the economy.

It added that the engagement reflects the growing international confidence in Nigeria’s economic potential and sets the stage for deeper cooperation with development partners.

The ministry said the collaboration with JICA and MIGA is expected to unlock new investment opportunities and drive long-term growth.
