Former Super Eagles captain, Joseph Yobo has denied reports that he signed for Nigeria Professional Football League side, Kano Pillars.
The 36-year-old defender announced his retirement in June but reached an agreement with the League Management Company to play for a domestic league club as a means of promoting and adding value to the league by attracting more spectators to the various league match venues.
It will be recalled that few weeks back, it widely reported that the former Everton star signed for Kano Pillars.
However, Yobo on Thursday denied signing with Kano based side or any other club in the Nigeria Premier League.
“I read that I was missing in action last weekend. I have not signed for Kano Pillars or any NPFL club. Yet,” he tweeted.
