Omokri: Buhari’s Restriction On Freed Chibok Girls From Narrating Experience ‘Questionable’

Ex-Presidential aide, Reno Omokri, says alleged government’s restriction on freed Chibok schoolgirls from sharing their experiences with their parents calls for suspicion.

Omokri said this as a relative of one of the rescued Chibok girls, Peter Joseph, claims President Muhammadu Buhari has barred the girls from relating their experiences with family members.

“I think there is something that the Federal Government does not want us to know and that is why they are keeping them away. Even when they [the schoolgirls] travelled to Chibok, they were not allowed to go to their houses,” said Joshua on Al Jazeera’s ‘The Stream’.

“They were kept in government facilities in Chibok and anyone who visited them was made to sign a register, state the village where they came from, whom they wanted to see and then a time limit was given, after which you were asked to leave and there were certain things that you were not allowed to ask the girls.

“You can’t ask them about their experiences in Sambisa Forest. I mean, we don’t get it. Even now that 82 girls have been rescued, what has the government done about them? Up till today, the families have not met the girls,” several sources had quoted Joseph as saying.

In his reaction, Omokri said: “The Muhammadu Buhari administration bars Chibok Girls from sharing their experiences with their own parents yet you still insult those who raise eyebrow? You need a brain transplant.

“Very fishy! Emancipate yourselves from mental laziness. What can happen if they talk? What negative impact can it have on them, or the girls still in captivity or their community?

“These were the girls whose parents the then opposition APC were pushing to talk and talk loudly. Now that they are in power and the girls are out, the same APC does not want them to talk.

“Yes, there was a kidnap. But who was behind it? Who sponsored it? We shall continue asking questions. Prepare to keep insulting us!.”
