Omokri Mocks Presidency: Give Buhari ‘A Script’ To Take To White House

Reno Omokri, an aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, has thrown a gibe at the Presidency, asking it to ensure President Muhammadu Buhari’s speech at the White House is scripted in order to help him avoid another gaffe during his meeting with President Donald Trump.

This, Omokri said, was necessary so as to avoid an awkward scene as was seen when President Buhari referred to Germany as West Germany during a previous meeting with Angela Merkel, the Chancellor of Germany, in Europe.

“Give President Buhari, a script. Don’t let him speak without it. Remind him that it is Germany not West Germany. Make him aware that Nigerians aren’t ‘criminals’ and that 70% of all Black doctors in America are Nigerians and women don’t belong in the ‘other room,” Omokri said, mocking the president ahead of his meeting with Trump on Monday.

Mallam Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, had said in a statement on Sunday that Buhari will among other things discuss issues pertaining to Nigeria’s security during his meeting with President Trump.
