Orji Kalu Reacts As APC Fails To Recognize Him As Its Member

Former Abia State Governor, Orji Uzor Kalu, has expressed displeasure that his name was conspicuously missing in the membership list sent to his ward by the national leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to reports, the APC national leadership had sent a list containing the names of its recognized members to Kalu’s ward in Igbere, Bende Local Government Area in Abia North senatorial district.

The party had sent out the names of its members to all states and wards ahead of its primaries nationwide.

But it was gathered that the name of the APC Chieftain, who has been touring different states in the country to campaign for President Muhammadu Buhari‘s reelection in 2019, was not in the list sent to his ward.

The development, which was disclosed by Kalu’s close associate Ben Kalu, saddened the former governor who had previously indicated interest in the Abia North senatorial seat.

The former governor told Daily Trust that he felt very bad that the ruling party omitted his name from the membership list sent to his ward.
