Osinbajo To Continue In Acting Capacity As Buhari Takes More Rest

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo will continue in acting capacity as President Muhammadu Buhari, following his arrival to Nigeria, stated that he needed some more time to recuperate.

Channels Television reports that the president asked Osinbajo to continue to attend to issue of governance during a closed door meeting at the presidential villa.

Buhari who said he is pleased to be back in Nigeria, however said he did not believe he could get this sick, adding that he feels “much better”.

The president arrived Nigeria 50 days after his prolonged medical trip to the United Kingdom.

An helicopter conveyed him from the Kaduna Airport to the helipad inside the Presidential Villa at 8.42am

He was received by Osinbajo; Zamfara State Governor, Abdulaziz Yari; Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Muhammad Bello; Minister of Defence, Mansur Dan-Ali; National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno; Director-General of the Department of State Services, Lawal Daura; Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris; Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari; all service chiefs.
