Osinbajo Urges Support For Buhari As He Votes In Lagos

Nigeria’s Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, has voted at his polling unit 33 in Victoria Garden City (VGC), Lagos State, in the ongoing governorship and national assembly elections.

Osinbajo arrived the polling unit alongside his wife, Dolapo, where they both voted their choices for gubernatorial and state assembly seats.

The Vice President expressed satisfaction with the peaceful and orderly conduct of the elections. 

He urged Nigerians to continue to support efforts by the President Muhammad Buhari administration to take the country to the “Next Level”.

“I think we have all that we require to make this country truly great. For me, all of us must work together across tribes and religions.

“We must come together to work with President Muhammadu Buhari and the government to achieve the best we can for this country,” the VP told reporters.

Meanwhile, there were reports of protest by some INEC ad-hoc staff in some poling units in the Ikeja axis of the state.

Members of the ad-hoc staff were said to be posting non-payment of allowances owed to them during the February 23 Presidential and National Assembly elections.
