Pastor Adeboye’s Church Launches Dating Site

The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), the City of David in Victoria Island, Lagos, has created and launched a dating site where Christian singles can interact for the purpose of courtship and marriage.

Renown cleric, Pastor Enoch Adeboye is the General Overseer of the RCCG worldwide.

Checks on the website showed that visitors have to register before logging in to enjoy the features contained therein, including relationship coaching sessions.

The church’s pastor, Pastor Idowu Iluyomade, had urged the members to register, adding that “There is no marriage in heaven ! We are here to help you connect and hopefully meet your better half.”

Meanwhile, the online dating site put up a disclaimer, advising visitors to investigate before connecting with whoever they meet.

“Connectnow is for the purpose of connecting for courtship and marriage only and is not intended to replace or serve as a substitute for any due diligence/background checks to be conducted by the registrants prior to connecting. Every registrant must conduct his or her own independent background check before connecting with another registrant on this platform. The Redeemed Christian Church of God, City of David Parish makes no representations or warranties and expressly disclaims any and all liability concerning any damages sustained by any registrant as a result of connecting with anyone on this platform.”

“Redeemers Connect benefits from RCCG’s global presence in over 198 countries worldwide, increasing the universe of finding a life partner and breaking down barriers with regards to race, color, language or ethnicity,” it stated on its website.

Age bracket for membership is between 21 and 91.
