Police Arrest Suspected Cultists Plotting To Attack Osun Poly

The Osun State Police Command has arrested four suspected cult members at their hideout while planning to unleash terror on the Osun State Polytechnic, Iree.

It was gathered that the youths were arrested by men of the Anti-Cultism Unit of the Osun State Police Command.

The suspects were said to have been moved to the state police headquarters for further investigation.

The Police Public Relations Officer in Osun State, Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the arrest.

She said the suspects were arrested last Friday in Iree.

She said, “Upon the information received on Friday, February 12, men of Anti-Cultism Unit from the State Criminal Investigation Department swooped on the suspects and effected their arrest.

“Those arrested are Akintade Wisdom, Sodiq Opeyemi, Olayinka Fadeyi and Azeez Olalekan. Upon interrogation, we discovered that they are not students of the polytechnic, but their mission was to cause chaos on the campus.

“They were immediately handed over to operatives.”
