Police Arrest Suspected Killers Of Imo Catholic Priest

The Nigeria Police Force, on Thursday, said it has arrested two suspected killers of late Rev Fr. Jude Egbom, Parish Priest of St Patrick’s Catholic Church, Amucha, in the Njaba LGA of Imo state.

THE WHISTLER had reported how Fr. Egbom, was on the evening of 10th of September 2018, killed at a hair salon at Nkwerre, where he had gone for a haircut after he had visited his hometown Umuwala that same day.

The suspects are Chigozie Uzoukwu, 33, and Peter Ochokwu, 21 who the police said was an ex-convict and had spent one year in Owerri prison for alleged involvement in an armed robbery case.

The Imo State Commissioner of Police, Dasuki Galadanchi, while parading the suspects, said the suspects were arrested by operatives of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS) of the Imo State police command, on September 11 in Nkwere.

The CP, who decried the killing of the cleric, said the priest’s vehicle and travelling bag were recovered
