Police Arrest Two Men Over Alleged Defilement Of 9-Year-Old In Ogun

The Ogun State Police Command has arrested two men, Victor Obilor and Kabiru Umar, over the alleged defilement of a nine-year-old girl and indecent assault of an 11-year-old girl in the state.

The suspects were arrested following reports received by the police concerning the alleged sexual abuse of the two minors.

According to the Force Public Relations Officer, Ani Iniedu, detectives visited the scene following the reports and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the alleged offences.

The command said the two suspects were subsequently arrested and detained in connection with the allegations.
The victims were also taken to a hospital for medical examination as part of the ongoing investigation.

The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Eleweran, where detectives are continuing with the investigation.

The police did not disclose further details about the circumstances surrounding the alleged offences or the relationship between the suspects and the victims.
The command said the investigation is ongoing.
