Ahead of Tuesday’s meeting, the National Working Committee expressed happiness with the move by President Buhari to set up a committee to end the seeming faceoff between the executive and the legislature.

According to the party, the committee headed by the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, is a step in the right direction, which demonstrates Buhari’s recognition of the position of the legislature in a democratic institution.

It will be recalled that President Muhammadu Buhari last week, set up a committee to resolve the perennial rift between the executive and the legislature.

The committee was set up on Wednesday during a meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) presided over by the President.
