Rivers Governor, Nyesom Wike Cancels Sanitation Exercise To Allow Residents Attend Church Program

The governor of Rivers, Nyesom Wike has canceled general sanitation for Saturday, 25 September, in view of a program organized by the Salvation Ministries, portharcourt.

The announcement was made on Friday, at the 5 Nights of Glory , where the governor was also among the guests.

THE WHISTLER followed the program till the end.

The presiding bishop, David Ibiyeomie had told the new converts that their training would hold on Saturday by 11 am, adding that the shift in time was because of the general sanitation that would end by 10 am.

But while the bishop was speaking, a man walked up to him and interacted with him.

Then, the cleric announced that the sanitation has been canceled and as such, the training would take place by 7 am; the crowd jubilated.

Also, an official walked up to the altar, and introduced the governor to the church, adding that he had canceled ‘tomorrow’s’ sanitation.

“The governor has canceled sanitation, when our pastor comes he will tell us what God will cancel,” he said.

The cleric had preached on the topic, ‘God the Maker of Men’.

He said that like Jesus Christ, Christians are permitted to start small but they should also dream big and grow into the future like Christ did.

He also urged the people to be prayerful.

Other clerics at the event were Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo of the Commonwealth of Zion, Korede Komaiya of the Master’s place and Pastor Femi Emmanuel from Ibadan.

Aside that, the service was broadcasted live to millions around the world, according to the cleric.

Recall that the cleric had donated fifty million to sponsor the education of 1000 out-of-school children.
