‘Sinister Forces’ Want To Start A War Under My Regime – Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari, on Monday, raised the alarm that some “subterranean forces with a sinister agenda” are trying to start a war under his leadership.

Buhari said this in a follow-up statement regarding the attack on Gwaska village, Birnin Gwari, Kaduna State, where some hoodlums killed over 45 people.

Mallam Garba Shehu, the media and publicity assistant to Buhari, quoted the president as saying: “These persistent killings are not spontaneous; there are subterranean forces with a sinister agenda to instigate a war in the country for selfish purposes.

“Although unconventional war is particularly complicated, our security forces are making rigorous efforts to better understand these enemies with a view to decisively checkmate their evil attacks,” Shehu quoted the President as saying.

“I am deeply outraged by this unwarranted, unprovoked and reckless destruction of lives by bandits who belong to the lowest level of civilisation.

“I feel the pains and devastation of the families of the victims, and this administration will do everything possible to ensure we defeat these enemies of humanity,” said the President.

Meanwhile, President Buhari has approved the establishment of a new military battalion, a new Police Area Command, and two additional Divisional Police Head Quarters in the communities where attacks were carried out.
