16 Killed, 82 Injured As Suicide Bombers Attack Borno Market

16 persons have been killed and 82 others injured in a suicide bomb attack in Konduga Local Government Area of Borno state.

The state police commissioner, Mr Damian Chukwu, confirmed the attack to journalists on Wednesday in Maiduguri.

Chukwu, in a statement, said that the incident occurred at a market at about 5: 30 p.m. on Wednesday, when three suicide bombers hit the market.

The suicide bombers, a male and two female, detonated the explosives at the busy market, blew up themselves and killed 16 people.

He said that the wounded persons have been evacuated to Specialists Hospital, Maiduguri.
