The People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Lagos Chapter, has called on the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) to immediately arrest and prosecute former National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

A statement made by the PDP state publicity secretary, Taofik Gani “demanded that the immediate invitation, arrest and prosecution of Tinubu for violating the laws of the land and breaching public trust by operating several foreign accounts during his tenure as Lagos State governor between 1999 and 2007.”

This is coming after the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) indicted in its findings.

The CCT revealed that Tinubu was wrongfully discharged five years ago for allegedly operating foreign accounts while serving as governor Lagos State.

In related news, counsel to Senate president, Bukola Saraki, Kanu Agabi, has urged the Conduct Tribunal to discharge his client, Saraki, who is being tried for similar criminal offence allegation for which Bola Tinubu got away with about five years ago.

Kanu Agabi made the plea after prosecuting counsel, Rotimi Jacobs, stated that Tinubu was wrongly discharged because the tribunal was misled into setting the former governor free.
