Justice Abang, Others To Be Sanctioned Over Involvement In PDP Crisis

All judges, including Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court in Abuja, involved in the crisis rocking the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), are allegedly being investigated for the individual roles they have played to tear the party apart.

Recall that the judges, including Justice M. Liman and Justice Ibrahim Watila of the Port Harcourt Federal High Court had given conflicting rulings in various suits filed before them and which by extension deepened the crisis between the two factions of the PDP.

Any judge found guilty would be sanctioned accordingly, the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Mahmud Mohammed said during the swearing in of the newly appointed Senior Advocates of Nigeria.

“Let me say before the court stands that the case of courts of coordinate jurisdiction giving conflicting judgements will be addressed.”

“All the judges involved are being investigated and action will be taken accordingly,” the CJN said.
