Nigeria Needs A Leader Like Buhari, He Won’t Steal Our Money, Says Osinbajo

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has pleaded with Nigerians to be patient with President Muhammadu Buhari, describing him as a honest man.

Osinbajo, who made this disclosure during a Town Hall meeting in Kano State on Monday, added that all will be well with the country soon, amidst deepening recession and continuous increase in inflation.

According to the Vice President, “I’m confident everyone of us would come out of this recession happy”

“Let’s be patient, let’s work hard, and we are lucky with the kind of President we have, he is an honest man”

Professor Osinbajo expressed optimism that the Buhari-led administration will bring the country out of its economic woes, stressing that the president will has always been accountable and transparent.

“This country needs honest leadership, we need somebody like Buhari who is not going to steal your money”.

He explained that the activities of militants in the Niger Delta region led to the drop in crude oil earnings, which has drastically affected the country’s foreign exchange.

He however tasked Nigerian to continue to support the Federal Government in her efforts to stir the country out of its current hardship.

“This is the situation where 60 percent of foreign earning is being lost to the activities of militants in the Niger Delta and we are doing our best to address it,” Osinbajo said.
