The Acting Chairman, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ibrahim Magu, has said that the result of the investigation carried out by the commission, on Nigerians indicted in documents leaked by the Panamanian law firm, Mossack Fonseca, also known as Panama Papers, will soon be made public.

Magu spoke at the closing session of a workshop organized by the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption (PACAC) in collaboration with the Association of professional Bodies of Nigeria (APBN) at the weekend in Abuja.

Recall that few months ago, some prominent Nigerians were named in the Panama leaks, including former governors.

“I work and finish my work as if there is no tomorrow, because corruption is fighting back.”

The panama Papers, which is the biggest leak in the history of data journalism, showed how world leaders, celebrities, athletes, FIFA officials and criminals hide money, using anonymous shell corporations across the world.

The Panamanian law firm, regarded as one of the world’s most secretive companies has helped clients launder money, dodge sanctions and evade tax.
