Former First Lady, Patience Jonathan has petitioned the House of Representatives to order security agencies to stop harassing her.

This was according to Gogo Bright, a lawmaker in the lower legislative chamber, who on Thursday presented the petition before the House.

Bright urged the House to come to the aid of wife of ex-president Goodluck Jonathan as no former First Lady had suffered such humiliation from security agencies as seen with Mrs Jonathan.

“No former first lady has been harassed like this before,” Bright said.

“But for the sacrifices that her husband has made for the country, the house should consider and call the security agencies to order,” said the lawmaker.

Mrs Jonathan’s petition comes barely 24 hours after the House of Representatives summoned her husband to appear before it over his alleged role in the $1.3 billion Malabu oil deal.
