The Super Eagles of Nigeria has dropped three places to 45th spot in the latest FIFA ranking, released by International Federation of Association Football.

The latest ranking is a sharp blow to the Eagles who moved up four places in April.

The team however maintained the third spot in Africa after Senegal who is first in Africa and 22nd in the world and Tunisia who is second in Africa and 25th globally.

It is not clear whether the latest ranking is as a result of the goalless match the Eagles had with Zimbabwe last Saturday during a friendly.

Nigeria join Guinea, DR Congo, Lesotho and Seychelles as the African teams with the biggest drop in ranks in the standings.

Morocco [47], DR Congo [49], Ghana [50], Cameroon [51], Egypt [58], Burkina Faso [59] and Mali [62] make up the other top 10 teams in the continent.
