‘This is Unacceptable,’ El-Rufai Reacts As Protesters Block Kaduna-Abuja Highway
The governor of Kaduna State has described the blocking of the Abuja-Kaduna highway by drivers of articulated vehicles as “unacceptable.”
Thousands of motorists have been trapped for hours after the drivers of the vehicles blocked both lanes of the Abuja-Kaduna highway.

The drivers are protesting the death of one of the drivers, who was allegedly shot by a policeman for his refusal to give N2000 bribe.
Responding to a tweet by a concerned Nigeria, the governor said officials were already on ground to resolve the issue.
He said, “It is most unfortunate. Our officials are on ground to resolve it and get the vehicles moving. I am on my way to the scene right now. The drivers will all be arrested and prosecuted for this. There are lawful means of expressing grievances. This is unacceptable!”
