Tinubu Deserves A Break, To Remain Engaged In Governance -Dare

President Bola Tinubu has proceeded on a working vacation after months of intensive engagement in the affairs of the country, with his media aide, Sunday Dare, saying the President “deserves a break” after taking major decisions on national issues.

Dare, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communications, stated this shortly after Tinubu departed the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, for a three-week vacation.

According to him, the President’s leave became necessary after months of sustained work, particularly in addressing critical issues affecting the country.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has proceeded on a well-deserved leave after months of intensive engagement in the affairs of the country,” Dare said.

He explained that Tinubu had remained heavily involved in governance, overseeing developments in the security sector, economy and other critical areas.

Dare said the President also needed the break to rest and recharge, particularly as the political campaign season had commenced ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He, however, stressed that Tinubu’s vacation would not amount to a disengagement from the affairs of the government.

According to him, the President will continue to receive regular briefings from Ministries, Departments and Agencies, service chiefs and other key government officials while on leave.

Dare added that Tinubu would take necessary decisions whenever the need arose, assuring Nigerians that governance would continue uninterrupted during the President’s absence.

The presidential aide said the President was expected to return after the working vacation and join the campaign activities ahead of the January 2027 election.
