Tinubu In A Surprise Visit To Orji Kalu

Former Lagos State governor, Mr Bola Tinubu, on Saturday staged a surprise visit to the private home of Senator Orji Kalu.

Both politicians are hoping to be Nigerian President in 2023 and are members of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

Tinubu and Kalu are not known political buddies.

Kalu is a current senator from Abia State and was also governor when Tinubu was in charge of Lagos between 1999 and 2007.

Tinubu was a member of the Alliance for Democracy, AD, while Kalu was in the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.

No official detail has been provided for the visit but both politicians were seen hugging as soon as Tinubu stepped out of his vehicle.

They were seen discussing animatedly with aides not providing any details to their discussion.

Kalu is among few top politicians in APC who have not visited Tinubu for a get-well-soon visit.

Tinubu was away on medical treatment in London and returned to his country home in Lagos, which became a Mecca as many politicians visited him.

Both politicians are stepping up their campaign ahead of the 2023 presidential election with posters and support groups stepping up their activities.

None of them has stated he will contest.
