Trump To Extend Travel Restrictions to Nigeria, Others – Report

The United States President, Donald Trump is planning to extend travel restrictions to seven other countries, including Nigeria.

Wall Street Journal reports that the new restrictions would apply to travelers and immigrants from Belarus, Eritrea, Kyrgyzstan, Myanmar, Nigeria, Sudan and Tanzania and the countries wouldn’t necessarily face blanket bans on travel to the U.S., but could have restrictions placed on specific types of visas, such as business or visitor visas, administration officials said.

Trump’s had also placed travel restrictions to the US for citizens of Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria,Yemen, Chad, North Korea and Venezuela.

The restrictions imply that awarding of green cards to the affected countries would be limited.

However, the Department of Homeland Security and the State Department are yet to make an statement on it.
