Two Die, Seven Injured As Trucks, Tanker Crush Commercial Bus
Two persons were reported dead while six were injured as four trucks crushed a passenger bus at Anthony area of Lagos State.
Our correspondent gathered that the accident which occured on Tuesday night caused serious traffic holdup.

The injured victims were said to have been taken to the Gbagada General Hospital while the dead were taken to the morgue at the hospital.
The Director-General of Lagos State Emergency Agency, Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, confirmed the accident in a post on the agency’s Facebook page on Wednesday.
He said two adult females died on the spot while a child was also rescued.
He said, ‘The agency received a distressed call through its toll free line 112/767 on Tuesday night September 1st, 2020 of a multiple truck accident at Anthony inward Gbagada.

“The operation lasted till this morning, Wednesday, 2nd September, 2020. The LASEMA Response Team, Cobra Squad at Onipanu and all key primary stakeholders/responders were immediately activated to the scene of the incident.
“Upon arrival at the scene of incident, it was discovered that a multiple accident involving a tipper truck with registration number AKM-741ZT and another tipper truck with registration number AKM- 322 ZT and a loaded tanker with registration number U-779 XZ and a loaded 40ft containerized truck with unknown registration number crushed a commercial bus with registration number KTU 198 XN as a result of reckless driving.
” The occupants of the bus were trapped and this accident caused vehicular obstruction on the main carriage way. However, the bus was eventually extricated.”
He appealed to drivers, especially truck drivers, to.always ensure that they obey the speed limits and put their vehicles in good condition.
