U.S Supreme Court Compels Trump To Declare Financial Records

The U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday ruled that President Donald Trump should tender his financial records to a lower court in New York, a city controlled by Democrats.

There have been lingering claims, promoted by Democrats, that the President was refusing to open up his financial dealings, particularly in the area of tax payments.

Trump’s counsel had argued before the Court that the President had some amount of immunity.

But according to Reuters, the court “ruled that a New York prosecutor can obtain his financial records but prevented – at least for now – Democratic-led House of Representatives committees from getting similar documents.”

In a 7-2 ruling on Thursday led by Chief Justice John Roberts, the court stressed that no one was above the law.

But in a swift reaction, Trump stated that the verdict was another round of political witch-hunt.

He added that his administration has endured a lot of accusations that seemed to be a distraction to him.

“The Supreme Court sends case back to Lower Court, arguments to continue. This is all a political prosecution.

“I won the Mueller Witch Hunt, and others, and now I have to keep fighting in a politically corrupt New York. Not fair to this Presidency or Administration!,” Trump tweeted.
