Members of the House of Representatives have thrown out a bill for the establishment of a South-East Development Commission.

This comes after calm was restored at the Green Chamber following a rowdy session lasted for more than 15 minutes during plenary session on Thursday.

The rowdy session started after the bill was stepped down for the second time this week.

The motion was dismissed after the sponsor of the bill, was reportedly absent from plenary when the matter was called up.

The bill was then considered by the lawmakers after an extended period at the chamber, but faced a brick-wall as it was rejected by overwhelming majority.
