Wike Lauds Chidi Loyd For Holding Proper Funeral For Late Father After 45 Years

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, has commended former majority leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Dr. Chidi Lloyd, for giving his late father a proper funeral service after 45 years of his death.

Wike said by organizing a proper burial for his father at his Akpaku hometown, Loyd had established his root as a true son of Akpabu Community in Emohua Local Government Area of the state.

The governor made the remark on Wednesday at the funeral service held for the late Lloyd Joseph Amadioha in Akpabu Community.

THE WHISTLER gathered that although the late Amadioha had been buried in Buguma town in 1975 due to a communal clash, his son held a formal funeral service for the deceased in Akpabu on Wednesday.

Governor Wike noted that Dr. Lloyd had done the right thing as a good son, to give a proper burial to his late father, which he said would make his departed father proud of him.

“I thank Chidi Lloyd for bringing back his father home to give him a proper burial. If you did not do this, most people would have been asking, are you that Chidi Lloyd from Akpabu?

“But this has confirmed that he is a true son of Akpabu Community. Your father wherever he is, will be happy that his son has made him proud. I want you to continue to live the life that your father lived, at least far above what he did,” said the governor.
