Xenophobia: Senate Sends Delegates To South Africa

The Senate on Tuesday agreed to send a “strong delegate” to South Africa to express their displeasure over the renewed xenophobic attacks against Nigerians.

Speaking during plenary, Senate President, Bukola Saraki, said the delegates will deliberate with South African Parliament to resolve the attacks.

The resolve followed a motion moved by Senator Rose Oko of Cross River North senatorial district, who urged the Upper Legislative Chambers to intervene in the renewed attacks.
