You’ve Done Well For Humanity, Nigerians Laud Sharon Ikeazor As She Bows Out Of PTAD

Nigerians have commended the outgoing Executive Secretary of the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD), Sharon Ikeazor, for a job well-done during her headship of the agency.

Ikeazor, who exited the agency today, was appointed into the position by President Muhammadu Buhari, on the 26th of September 2016, and according to Nigerians her short stay in PTAD has brought restoration of hope in pension administration in Nigeria.

Her exit follows her nominations by Buhari as part of the 43 ministers that will form his cabinet for his second tenure in office.

Ikeazor introduced measures that reduced and eliminated the uncertainty associated with delayed or denied pension to many of the retirees under the Defined Benefit system.

She cleaned up the database of pensioners under the purview of PTAD and eliminated ghost pensioners such as the 4, 000 recently removed from the Police pension roll of 20,000.
