Adeyeye Dumps PDP After Losing Ekiti Guber Primary

Barely 48 hours after he was beaten to the Peoples Democratic Party’s governorship ticket in Ekiti state, the immediate past National Publicity Secretary, Prince Dayo Adeyeye has resigned from the party.

Adeyeye was beaten by incumbent deputy governor, Prof Kolapo Olusola, who garnered 1,190 and who happens to be the candidate of the state governor, Ayodele Fayose.

Shortly after the primary, Adeyeye, a former minister, who came second with 771 votes, said he could not work with Fayose.

He alleged that the governor imposed his deputy as the party’s candidate in the July 14 governorship election.

Adeyeye, while addressing his supporters at his campaign office, however added that he was yet to conclude his next political platform.
