Amaju Pinnick: NFF To Distribute Yams To Vulnerable Nigerians

President of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) Amaju Melvin Pinnick, has revealed plans by the federation to distribute yam tubers to Nigerians as palliatives to motivate citizens to stay at home during the lockdown prompted by the Coronavirus Pandemic.

Pinnick disclosed this on a Channels Tv sports program on Monday.

When quizzed about the federation’s effort to help and support vulnerable Nigerians during this this lockdown he said : ” We are doing quite a lot. We are going to support some of these centres with yam tubers, we have to do this at this hard period.”

Many states in the country are on lockdown due to the stay-at-home order as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.
