Maku expressed his gratitude to the scheme and commended the Commandant General of the Corps, Mr Ahmed Abubakar Audi, for his efforts in improving the welfare of personnel of the corps. He admonished the beneficiary to make judicious use of the fund for their well-being.

In his words, “This generous act demonstrates the commitment of the CG to support the families of officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice while in service. The essence is to provide financial support to the families left behind by fallen officers. Aside from acknowledging their sacrifices, it also helps to ease the burden they face in the absence of their loved ones.”

Responding, Mrs Nnaegbuna, on behalf of the bereaved family, expressed her appreciation to the commandant general for the welfare package and assured that the money would be used prudently.
