Andy Ruiz Begs For Third Fight After Loss To Anthony Joshua

Andy Ruiz who on Saturday lost his International Boxing Oganisation (IBO), International Boxing Federation (IBF), World Boxing Organisation (WBO) and World Boxing Association (WBA) titles to Anthony Joshua has expressed interest in a third match with Joshua.

Ruiz made the statement in an interview after he lost his five months old heavyweight title in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

“I want a third.” He he told Joshua during an interview with Sky News.

Joshua who won flawlessly accepted to host him in another round if only such is obtainable.

Joshua further told Sky News that the first defeat he suffered from Ruiz made him humble and hungry for another victory, saying he never changed his mentality before the game.

“There was no change in mentality, you know the saying stay hungry stay humble.

“I was humble in defeat, and will remain humble in victory.”

The Nigerian born who is used to knocking out opponents hailed Ruiz for the June defeat, but said he new he would correct the mistake.

Meanwhile, the dou denied earlier rumours of retirement if they lost the match. 

Joshua stressed commitment to his boxing career.

According to him, “Career is all about experience. There is no losing and winning, it is just about creating great memories in the game you love.

“I took my L, and I bounced back. Any one can do it, life is a roller coaster.

“What do you want me to do earlier, give up? I hear some one say I should retire, come on man we love this game.”

Recall in June Joshua revoked the rematch clause after he lost to Ruiz in a seventh round knockout to loose his IBO, IBA, WBA and IBF tittles.
