Mrs. Okadigbo, who represented Anambra North in the 7th National Assembly on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), lost out in the PDP senatorial primary in 2015. She had later joined the APC in September to continue her political voyage.

Her husband, the late Chuba Okadigbo, was the running mate to President Muhammadu Buhari in 2003 on the platform of All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) before he went to the Senate.
