General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleiman, has spoken on his experience at the Department of State Services headquarters after he was grilled by the anti-graft agency for about three hours.

Recall that the DSS invited the man of God for interrogation, following his recent alleged “inciting comments” that Christians should defend themselves against attacks by Fulani herdsmen.

Apostle Suleiman who arrived the DSS office at about on Monday, 10:00am, was allowed to go home on Monday night about 10:45pm.

It was learnt that the cleric secured his freedom amidst cheers from members of his congregation, friends, family and some of his pastors.

His spokesperson, Phrank Shuaibu, on Monday night, had said that he hopes the cleric will not spend the night at the SSS office.

“We arrived here (SSS office) this evening; at about 7 p.m. and the people to question him were not immediately available.

“The questioning began about 40 minutes ago. But we are sure that in a short while we will leave this place.

After the cleric was released, Shuaibu who spoke to newsmen said, “Apostle Suleiman has been allowed to go. The DSS exhibited high level of maturity, competence and professionalism.”

In a tweet shortly after he was freed, the cleric hailed DSS officials for their professionalism during the interrogation, while thanking everyone who stood by him.

He said, “Just finished with the DSS, they were professional… it is well.

“I appreciate everyone who showed love. Still in awe! Love you all immensely. May God fight your battles in Jesus name. Still amazed”.
