ASUU: Final Year Students Cry Out Over Lecturers Rejection Of IPPIS
Nigerian students have cried out over the refusal of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to be captured on the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS) by the federal government.
Some student said ASUU’s rejection of IPPIS is an avenue for them to go on strike knowing fully well that most institutions are writing their final examination.
ASUU had said that it would maintain it’s “no pay, no work” stance if the federal government go ahead with its threat not to pay anyone not registered on the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System by October 31.
ASUU and FG have been at loggerheads over the compulsory migration of lecturers to the IPPIS platform by the end of the month
