Bandits Invade Kaduna Communities, Kill 3, Cart Away Livestock

The Kaduna State Government said no fewer than three persons and several livestock have been killed in latest bandits’ attack on a community in the state.

The state’s Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, said the bandits carried out the attack in Dunki village along Kaduna-Zaria highway in Igabi Local Government Area on Monday.

According to Aruwan, troops of 4Demo Battalion of the Nigerian Army had earlier sighted the bandits along the highway from Sharu village in the Kerawa area of the state.

He said the troops subsequently laid ambush on the assailants at Lambar Zango and Hawan Kwaranza villages where they engaged the criminals in a shootout.

The bandits were said to have retreated and took another route to Dunki village where they allegedly killed two residents and an unidentified male traveler.

They also invaded Mashashiya and Farguza villages where they stole unspecified number of livestock and other valuables.
