Breaking: APC Crisis: Police Take Over APC Secretariat

APC crisis has taken a dramatic dimension as dozens of armed policemen in several patrol vans on Wednesday afternoon took over the party’s National Secretariat.

The office which is located on Blantyre Street, Wuse 2 Abuja, was blocked at both ends with armed security men seen frisking everybody including visitors.

Vehicles passing through the street were equally checked.

The policemen were complimented by officers of the Department of State Service.

It was gathered that the deployment was to forestall a possible breakdown of law and order.

THE WHISTLER gathered that some factions of the party being led by former Senator, Kabiru Marafa, who has been having running battle with the party’s current caretaker Committee Chairman Mr, Mai Mala Buni, were planning to stage protest at the secretariat.

Marafa had called for the dissolution of the Buni-led Committee that it was alien by the party’s constitution, but the Committee threatened that he could be expelled if he did not tie party line.

The deployment it was reported was aimed at forestalling any break down of law and order.
