FG Orders Freezing Of CJN Onnoghen’s Accounts [SEE LETTER]

The President Muhamadu Buhari-led administration has ordered the immediate freezing of bank accounts of the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Walter Onnoghen.

The Federal Government, on Wednesday, ordered the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU) to freeze Onnoghen’s accounts following allegations of false assets and non-assets declaration levelled against him in a petition by the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB).

According to reports, the order was issued by Mr Abubakar Malami (SAN), the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice.

The AGF, in a letter date Janurary 14, said the directive was in line with a Presidential Executive Order.
