BREAKING: Imo Governor-Elect, Hope Uzodinma Receives Certificate Of Return From INEC

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has issued certificate of return to the Imo Governor-Elect, Senator Hope Uzodinma

This follows his declaration as the duly elected governor of the state by the Supreme Court on Tuesday.

The apex court sacked Emeka Ihedioha of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and declared Uzodimma of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the duly elected governor.

Ihedioha had been declared winner of the governorship election by INEC, but Uzodinma challenged his victory at the tribunal.

The APC candidate’s petitions had been dismissed both at the tribunal and the court of appeal, but he subsequently recorded victory at the supreme court.
